Great bars for road and light gravel. A little bit of flare makes it easier to ride in the drops and I find the angle on the brifters makes for a comfortable hand position. My only complaint is that I found that there's a little bit of flex when you're in the drops but only if you're holding the flat part not the curve. For the price great bars and they're light too.

I have a garage-full of handlebars I’ve tried on my bikes. The one I liked the most was a Salsa Cowbell. (I think those had different models not sure which one I have.) I became increasingly critical of it as I increased my weekly mileage so decided to try this Whisky bar.

I really like it. The amount of flare strikes a good control and comfort balanced with not feeling like a sail with arms wide when in the drops. The short reach helps me. (I am tall but short torso so I tend to like short reach bars and shorter stems.) I do not feel the need to keep looking!

For reference I ride 50 road miles once a week weather permitting. 5’11” at 160lbs. My saddle is about 3-4 inches higher than the bars. My fast pace is about 20mph. I have the 420mm bar.;
