Will update if anything is worthy of demoting. Used this with and Ultegra RX r800 and an XT 11-42 cassette. The RX is rated to hit 34-36. I did not need to extend my b-screw. Just a slight limit adjustment and b adjustment. You remove part of the derailleur and replace it with this.

UPDATE: Zero issues. This thing has been put through as much of "the wringer" as possible for an RD upgrade. Great tool for a cheap and effective upgrade.;

I used this to improve the shifting of an XT 11-40 11 speed cassette on my 2X GRX drive-train on my 2020 Salsa Cutthroat. Since the GRX is a new derailleur the Wolftooth documentation does not say that it is compatible. I'm here to assure you that it works perfectly.;

Used the Road link DM with Ultegra RD-RX800 rear derailleur (the one with a clutch) to shift on a 11-40 cassette and it improved the overall performance significantly. To be clear the medium cage RX800 derailleur can already clear 40T with careful b-screw adjustment but the shift performance for smaller cogs is suboptimal due to reduced chain wrap. I also found it became quite sensitive to slight cable tension difference so to dial in perfectly is a bit tricky.

This b-link from WTC improves chain wrap by offseting the position of the derailleur so that the b-screw not longer needs to be almost maxed out to clear the largest cog (yes it's very important to readjust the b-screw after installation) and the increased chain wrap helps with the shifting performance. The Road link DM is very well made. Still a bit pricey for what it is but it's a simple and easy solution.;

installed it. shifted like crap. why? because like with most parts you can't just bolt them on and ride off. readjusted the limits and b tension after the install. also was upsizing from an 11-32 to a 11-40 on the gravel bike so installed a new chain at the same time.

for the person who posted a video here of poor shifting the chain on that bike is way way way too long. this has an effect on derailleur performance. resize that chain properly and then reset the b-tension screw after. hint with a properly sized chain the top jockey wheel will end up closer to the cassette in all gears which means more wrap which means better shifting.;

Excellent product. I had a low ratio of 1-1 (34-34) on my all road bike and that wasn't enough for me in the mountains. With this a new chain and an XT cassette I now have a low gear that is 34-46 but still have 50-11 high gear for the road. It will even cross chain not that I would ride it like that. You will need a 126 link chain and chain tool. The Shimano 105 chain works well and is affordable. I used my existing Ultegra R8000 derailleur. I didn't have to adjust anything but the b-screw.
