Born from the need to race in European enduro events, the Vigilante is WTB's premier aggressive All Mountain tire. The square-lugged open tread pattern offers stability in loose or wet terrain, while the stiff outside knobs grip at lean angles like nobody's business. With Dual DNA rubber or Gravity DNA options, this is the tire to ride when you are giving it your all.
  • TCS Light High Grip: Lightweight casing with folding TCS aramid bead and Gravity DNA rubber (45a over 60a)

Grip! Tons of it. I did a lot of research prior to buying a tire. These allow me to climb north east rocky and rooty trails with confidence. I have it mounted on my rear wheel. I may be switching it to the front and may get the "fast" vigilante for the rear. At least with the first two rides I did I felt very gassed at times and am chalking part of that up to the rolling resistance. But It hasn't left me wanting for more grip... either with climbing or braking. ANd I don't think I've really pushed it enough to comment on cornering.;
