I switched from a pair of Fiveten Freeriders to these. They're the same stickiness but slightly stiffer souls and the added benefit of water resistance. I didn't find them to be substantially hotter than the freeriders. The insoles are far better and actually fit your foot like a normal shoe. The Free riders I thought always felt a little lacking in this department. The DLX is perfect for those slightly longer rides and keep your feet from hurting.;
