no noise. doesn't stop as quick as organic pads.
I have a set of Avid XO trail on my Trek Fuel EX 9. The stock avid pads suck so I replaced the pads with organic pads. They stop quick and have less noise.

I saw these sintered pads at $5.99 so I figure I try them on a second bike that has Avid XO trail brakes. These pads also are quiet but the initial bite of the brake is not as quick or forceful compared to the organic pads I have on the Trek. The property may be due to the newness of the pads and needing to bed in more or can be metallic pads in general being heat resistant and offering less grip and longer life.

I will update the review as I roll more miles. For now 5 stars for the price lack of noise and ease of installation. 4 stars for the less bite and stopping power.;
