REALLY IMPRESSIVE! Performance FAR beyond price! I used to think that XT and Ultegra had the best "performance to price and weight" ratio but wow. I have this RD MS metal thumb shifter and the 11-42 cassette on my fat bike and find the shifting AMAZING! AS with ANY! RD make certain to set limit screws so your chain cannot come between little ring and frame nor big ring and wheel spokes!!! This is a USER issue that online sellers should enclose major caution about.

Don't know why but this derailleur just did not want to shift into the high gears out of the box and it took 4 hours of finicky adjusting to get it to work

Who's in charge of the product page should have to take a class on the features and benefits of the different models.
Both the M and L variant have a 46t max on the cassette the chainring is the difference. If you want a 47t choose the L if you want a 41t or smaller choose the M.;
