A very light Long-Pull V-Brake with an extreme amount of adjustability, allowing the use of even 700c wheels on a frame designed for 26" wheels. Machined in Chico, California to extremely high tolerances.

  • Extremely high power with excellent modulation
  • All Motolite have the capability of running a larger size wheel. In other words, the arms allow the pads to travel way up the arm so you could say, run a 650b or 700c wheel on a bike designed for 26inwheels
  • Easy tool-free quick release mechanism for quick wheel removal
  • Machined in the USA of 6061 Aluminum

I purchased the Paul moto lite brake because of their reputation. I had a few other Paul Components parts in the past and I have always been really impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail. I was using a Box three V brake before I got this Paul brake and it was good but the Moto lite brakes allows so much more adjustment feel better look better and are more powerful. Hands down the best V- brake out there . This sell shipped it out fast too;

I've got not much bad to say about these brakes.

There aren't too many V brakes that offer reversibility i.e. they can be switched around so that the cable pulls from the left hand / non-drive side of the bike. This makes for cleaner cable routing when running a right front aka "Euro style" brake lever setup (my preference).

(The other I know of if you're wondering is the discontinued Cane Creek Direct Curve 5).

But what else I like about these brakes is:
1. made in California (local for me)
2. come with top quality Cool Stop pads
3. feature a unique disconnect mechanism compared to most others quicker to use than the conventional noodle in the bracket setup
4. novel spring tensioning method which doesn't rely on the spring holes on the brake boss

In the end the most important thing is that these brakes work well and are easy to set up and adjust. You might actually knock them because they have a somewhat industrial appearance compared to the forged curvy competition. However for my application (a Xootr Swift folding bike) they match the aesthetic of the bike well so I'm quite happy with them in that regard too.;

Very expensive but first rate quality in construction. They work much better than the AVID brakes that my recumbent came with.;
