Shimano 105 RD-5701-SS Rear Derailleur - 10 Speed, Short Cage, Black

This Shimano 105 deraileur comes with a pedigree. It's reputation goes way back so if you're looking for quality this is the product for you. I purchased this for a replacement on my 8 year old Giant Escape. My old 105 was beginning to look tired with a few scrapes but still worked well. They never fail to give me a smooth solid shift of gears. Yes you can buy more expensive deraileurs buy why? I put a lot of trust in this brand name and in my book these are as reliable as I need. They are a bargain for the price.;

This part matches the one that came with the bike. Shimano 105 10 speed shifters. Very happy with that.;

Product is great but seller (cycle4less) sent a poorly repackage returned item. Also requested short cage but the item appears to be medium cage.;

Replaced my 2008 Trek 2.3 rear Integra derailleur with 40000 miles with this new derailleur. Easy to install shifts smooth after adjusting high/low indexing screws B screw and cable barrel. Watched Park Tools video on replacing and adjusting derailleur.;
