Shimano Altus SL-M315-7R 7-Speed Right Rapidfire Plus Shifter

This has incorrect details which say that "RAPIDFIRE PLUS technology is suited to quick shifting giving riders the ability to downshift three gears in one stroke2WAY-RELEASE means shifts can be released by pull of the index finger or push of the thumb". This does not have a 2-way release so don't think this is different than your current Altus M315.;

Bought this to replace the twist shifter on my Mongoose Malus. This is much better than the stock shifter!. Quick smooth shifts up and down the gears with no issues once so ever. Works with my stock derailleur which is nice also.;

Got this shifter to upgrade grip shifter that my mongoose malus came with. This shifter is awesome. Easy to use easy to install. Once derailleur is tuned and adjusted correctly this shifter accurately shifts to the right gear. Love it. Great upgrade;

how to install
out of the box shift it to gear 7 that will give you the most slack
shift the old shifter(the one currently on the bike) to gear 7 as well you want the derailuer on the smallest cog
unscrew the cable at the derailuer also unscrew old shifter from handlebars
next watch where the housings are if not that old you can reuse pull the old cable all the way out
mount new shifter to handle bar
thread the new cable thru the old cable housings
at the derailuer turn the barrel adjustment screw all the way in then back it out a turn turn and a half
thread the cable thru pull it snug and tighten then check your shifting shift it up and down if anything is stuck go to the barrel adjuster on the derailuer and give it a turn out or in see what does it;
