Tektro FL750 Brake Levers Silver/Silver 22.2mm

I installed these on a flat bar gravel bike with cantilevers. They felt nice and worked well. But two months later the right lever just broke. The lever kept pulling cable but the mounting bolt stripped out.

Low quality part but maybe it’s just a fluke happenstance.;

I had installed trp spyres on my mtn bike but they never felt right. Luckily my lbs clued me in that I needed canti levers with Spyres. Long story short my 90s giant is stopping like a dream now.

Installing the levers was a little weird. They have a plastic tab that blocks the cable until I adjusted the tab to the side. No mention of this tab in all of instructions.

Also the instructions mention installing a barrel adjuster but no barrel adjuster is given and furthermore the brake is not threaded for barrel adjuster. I've never seen a flat bar brake lever without a barrel adjuster. Luckily the Spyres have their own barrel adjuster at the brake.

So these tektros solved my problem I can only assume there is better design and better overall effort in a different lever;

They install easy and looked good on my 1991 Haro Extreme. The only issue I have with them is a lack of a barrel adjuster but it isn’t needed;

I got these to put on a classic bike I was converting to a street bike (Schwinn Paramount all Campy). I put a (fairly) straight bar in the Cinelli stem and these levers were the perfect match/fit! They look appropriate for the bike and they feel and work great!

They went on without a problem clamped tight and the Campy cables attached as expected.;
