Bought this to convert my bike to singlespeed. They worked great I have a nice straight chainline. Very happy;

PROS: solid manufacturing does exactly what you need it to do.
CONS: wish there was a bit more variation in spacer size; a bit pricey for what it is but no more than the average spacer kit.

Ordered to convert a 20-year old Shimano Exage cassette to single speed. Used a 12T sprocket from an old Shimano cassette. Spacers appear to come in two different widths with seven of the wider ones and two thinner ones which should be fine for most conversions. Spacers are well machined and cut evenly. I had to remove one of the thinner ones to reduce the stack width in order to get the lockring to tighten down. Wish it was cheaper but that's the going market rate for spacer kits.;

This spacer set does not come with the (necessary) cassette lockring. This is not a big deal if you have a lockring from your old cassette. BUT BUT BUT almost ALL SRAM and Shimano cassette lockrings are too small to effectively cover the spacer area and provide the clamping pressure. This goes for any spacer set not just this one. What will happen is you will start to torque down the lockring and watch it pop right through the spacers and maybe even crack your hub housing if you are really a dufus (like I was once). All this needs is some kind of spacer to account for small lockrings but ofcourse it does not come with one and in fact no such item exists to my knowledge.

You have 2 alternatives:

1. use your 12t cassette cog as the last spacer/washer between the lock ring and the spacers. Looks a little silly but works and this is what I did as a kludge fix.
2. Buy the surly spacer kit which comes with a properly sized lock ring (this is what I ultimately did)

I cannot give this product a bad review because it is exactly what it is...SS hub spacers. But you will need more pieces to get it done.;

Converted my multi-speed hybrid to a single-speed in August. No problems with it at all. Been recommending it to others who were looking to convert their multi-speed bikes to single-speeds. Cheaper than replacing the hub/wheel.;
