Knowing the pain of damaging a prized frame, Wolf Tooth engineered end caps that would take the brunt of rock scrapes and crashes. Caps thread into a dedicated recess in the Wolf Tooth Rear Axle head and are easily replaceable or swappable with an 8mm hex key.

  • 8mm hex key to install Axle Cap
  • 5mm hex key will pass through the Cap for axle installation and removal
  • Torque: 1-2 Nm max

Well machined good quality axle cap and looks good also. Nice that you can remove axle without removing the cap itself well thought out and light.

It does the job it is intended to do. Pretty basic function. I replaced my thru-axle with the WT so I wouldn't have the quick release hanging off the side & to help me from getting my wheels stolen as easily. This helps keep the bike off of the brakes & frame when it's laid on the left side. It also adds a splash of color to the rear.
