The chinch system is pretty great and easton finally released a cheaper version of their EC90 SL crankset. These are a bit heavier (ok, for a weight weenie these arms are suicide, 180g more is a lot) but they are stiff, look good and still an acceptable weight. Its not that these are heavy, its that the EC90 SLs are very light. I know the carbon version has some issues sometimes so I am expecting these to be have better durability. Not to mention for a gravel bike, you don't have to worry as much with strikes on rocks.;
