Way way too complicated. I also have a new fancy internal cable routings. Between the two I’m on my third cable. Next cable needs a cable adjuster in-line. Never enough cable tension in the mechanism. If this works it will be nice. Now I can’t trust the bike while boondocking.
One month later after adding a cable adjuster it was working. Then it stopped working. The cable slipped through the set screw. So rebuild with the new cable again. So far so good.;
