just getting used to the grip on these - running at around 50PSI max (dropped from 65PSI after a few corner falls)
they are a nice tyre (I ride 3 different types of Maxxis tubeless tyres on my Rocky Mountain) but they are covered in leaks from multiple punctures - the max shield and rubber don't seem very puncture proof - abundant use of Oko magic milk - stops me losing too much PSI over the week - but the rubber is just full of slits - If my GF ran with these on her commute they would be in the bin after a week. n.b. these are a similar puncture resist to schwalbe ones - If Specialized made their All Condition Armadillo Elite II in Tubeless - that would be the commuting tyre for me.;

The max pressure on these is 75 PSI. The max pressure on the Gatorskin Hardshells are 95 PSI so I suppose these would ride softer. But I just use 65 PSI all around on the rough chipseal seems to ride smoother the Maxxis vs. other brands of 32mm tires. I have it just on the front so basically no wear so far with 400 miles. it looks brand new still. I'd recommend these for the front with the fine tread but on the rear these may wear out faster then you might like. My rear I have the Gatorskin Hardshell and it's been on for 3000 miles and not worn out yet. No flats yet at all on the Maxxis.;

I picked these up to run on my GT Grade which really does get used as a gravel/road/multi-surface adventure bike. Since the wheels on it are tubeless ready I decided TR tires would be the way to go after all tubeless really is great on my mountain bikes. I got the 32c as GT claims that's the largest that will clear the frame on my Grade (from the first year they made it). They set up easily and seem to hold air well.

On the bike because I was able to drop my tire pressure from 75 psi (28c with tubes) to 60 PSI with these tires set up tubeless the ride really smoothed out on all surfaces. It takes a lot of the edge off the gravel paths and especially the roots that grow there without allowing rim strikes. It also takes the chatter out of planked bridge decks at high speed and even smoothed out the chunky old asphalt I ride on sometimes. Cornering seems good so far and even at 60 PSI the bike doesn't seem to wallow in the turns as some people indicated it might.

I'm going to give Maxxis the benefit of the doubt on durability - normally I save 5 stars for a product that IS time proven. These tires have a lot of miles to go before the prove themselves but I've had such good luck with their MTB tires I'm giving them the 5th star as a sign of my expectations.;

Nothing bad to say about them but after reading all the positive reviews I was expecting a little more performance.;

I race tubulars do specific interval training on a wahoo kickr and the Re-Fuse are my main training tires when riding out. They have made me irresponsible since I don't carry a spare tube levers or pump anymore... my nearby roads are a joke terrible condicion.. they can handle anything and the ride at 65psi couldnt be more confortable. No problem staying in front of the pack. I ride them on a cannondale SuperX 1x config 40t chainring 11-36 casette... its all good.;
