The only thing I didn't like about the Almotion tire was that it was a pain to put on my rims, but that doesn't mean it would be tough to put on all rims, it could be just my rims, but I am NOT going to reduce my star rating for that, tires from different brands can do that, it's just the nature of bicycle tires.
I am going to be using this tire on the front of my touring bike, then put a more robust Schwalbe Marathon Plus 440 on the rear. I do this sort of thing all the time and it's perfectly fine. The back tire gets 99.99% of the flats while the front rarely if ever gets a flat, the back tire will wear out the fastest because most of my weight that I carry is on the back end of the bike, so the more robust tire in the back combined with a lighter tire on the front will be just fine.
The Almotion tire according to rolling resistance tests I've seen is the fastest rolling touring tire you can buy. So why didn't I use it on the rear too? because it doesn't have the longer lasting thicker tread, nor the nearly puncture resistant belt that the Marathon Plus 440 has. When touring I need a rear tire that will be nearly impervious to flats because fixing a flat on the rear of a loaded bike is sort of a pain to do. What I didn't want was a heavier tire on the front, and the front tire is easier to repair flats, so I went with the Almotion.
It's a very smooth tire, I have not even gotten one cut on the tread even after rolling across a debris field of glass the other day. They also have very good traction in wet and dry conditions.
Not sure what else to say about it since I've only had it for 2 weeks, if anything bad happens I will change my review, but I don't foresee that happening, and if it's like other Schwalbe tires I've owned I seriously doubt I will be back to report a problem.;
