I purchased these to protect my shins from getting cut up when my feet come off flat mountain bike pedals which doesn't happen often but when it does it's bad. I've worn them a hand full of times so far and they seem well made and I'm satisfied.

My only complaint is something I've seen in reviews else where that they are loose especially around the top and bottom where it is just elastic and silicon holding them in place on your leg. The elastic/silicon is not tight enough to hold the pad up as high as it could be on your leg. I.e. it should sit just about an inch below the bottom of my knee but isn't grippy enough so slides down and sits ~3 inches below the knee instead. I measured my legs before ordering and they do fit correctly otherwise; I would NOT recommend sizing down because at least for me it seems like the pad itself would be too tight then on my shin/calf.

All that said since the pad can only slide down a little bit before it rests a top my foot only an extra inch or two is exposed below the knee than should be. So I'd still recommend them just be forewarned it might run a little big and won't stay exactly in place where it should.;
