From the Dissector, Troy Brosnan wanted to create a unicornin tire a center tread design that carried speed easily but with edge blocks worthy of world-class cornering speed. The Dissector center knobs are all heavily ramped to minimize drag, but retain sharp, flat edges along their backs to provide strong braking traction. Small sipes give the knobs additional flexion, increasing their surface area during braking and aiding the transition to the edge blocks when cornering. A distinct channel along either side of the center knobs along with ample spacing between all lugs helps to clear debris.

I use this as a front tire on a hardtail. For flowy windy blue trails this has plenty of grip. I noticed faster acceleration and better grip from the Specialized butcher I replaced it with. In the rear I have a Rekon. I lean the bike hard in flat corners and tire maintains traction very well.

Better grip than Aggressor not quite as fast.

Faster than DHR not quite as grippy.

I don’t think I would use this as a front tire for my full-suspension as I ride much more challenging trails. However if I were to do an all-day epic (25+ miles and 3500’+ elevation gain) I would put Dissector up front and Aggressor or Rekon in rear.;

I changed from a Rekon and this is a bit slower due to the better lugs but that also adds more grip. I climb/corner better not faster
