I've only used this on a test bike and it works great. On a personal bike I have the SRAM hack (more below) and having the dropper lever at the brake is far superior to the other dropper levers designed for drop bar bikes. That said while it works flawlessly there is a rather big "but"...

Both this lever and the SRAM hack (you can turn a 2x mechanical SRAM shifter into effectively the same thing by removing the ratchet pawl a very simple operation) require the fixed shifter barrel end to be where you would expect it: in the lever. However few posts marketed at the gravel segment work this way. Most of them use that end at the dropper and require a lever that clamps the other end of the cable

This includes: all PNW posts CrankBrothers' new Highline XC/Gravel and Shimano's own Pro Discovery 70 (which is almost funny).

The best post I have found to use with this lever would be one of the KS Lev models (both the internally and externally routable versions).

Be aware of this when you buy it or you will not be too happy. The lever itself is great it just seems odd that even Shimano can't make a compatible post.;
