Had Shimano BR-450. These are a big improvement. Look great much better modulation and stopping power. Looks like I won't need to upgrade to a disc brake road bike!;

Double That

Prior to using the VO grand cru I had stock brake calipers on my Salsa Caseroll Single. I find the grand cru to have much more stopping power and great modulation. The only thing I kept from the old brake set was the cable tensioner as the Grand Cru tensioner is plastic. When installing these brakes make sure you use the included installation tool as the bolts are a "torx" design instead of hexagonal and are also not made of metal. Overall this is a great brakeset and does exactly what I wish my old ones would have done... It stops my bike!;
