This was the first pair of replacement “brifters” I’ve installed myself. And even without directions it was simple. Came with new brake cables and cable draws which was really nice after mine where very sun bleached and brittle. Over all took me about 2 hours taking my time and watching a movie in the background. Fun project that I highly suggest for anyone with mechanical skill to give a try.
I opted for these over the newShift based off of reputation of microShift. Trek doesn’t exactly use these as replacements if they are not of high enough quality to put on their super nice bikes. These are very solid and well made. The rubber is sticky and textured and the brake levelers are crisp. Shifting is smooth and there’s a tim click ok the front derailer.;
