Great training rollers and the price won’t bankrupt you. They assembled easily but pay close attention to the instructions and take your time. They’re easy to get mounted on not loud or excessively resonating like some rollers I’ve owned in the past (the wife appreciates this). Nice and smooth easy on the ears and I couldn’t have asked for better.;

This is a quality product but it was not easy to understand the assembly instructions.
It barely fits my bike on the longest setting. It has 5 or 6 settings so I didn't measure thinking it would be okay BUT YOU REALLY NEED TO MEASURE! This roller almost seems like it was made more for adolescent kids rather than full grown adults with full size bicycles.
So unfortunately that means I'm starting on the "Expert" difficulty. I'm giving this a 3/5 for beginners because in a way it is for beginners but younger people. Not for adult beginners your bike will probably barely fit like mine.
The hardest part in getting upright and rolling. Having that step is a HUGE help. Other roller don't include the step attachement.;

As a long time cyclist who used to train indoors exclusively on a high end set of rollers during the off season I can say that these are very good at this price. They are aren’t flimsy they roll smoothly and it folds down well into a smartly sized package. I bought these because in times past this brand which is made in Japan tend to be well designed and well made. I am not disappointed thus far. My first ride on them revealed only one thing…I forgot how easy it is to fall over getting started. This is the real challenge to roller training getting going. That said after I had a good roaring laugh at myself for falling over thinking that won’t happen to me! Ha! It happens… I found nothing that made me regret my purchase.

Moving on these rollers simply work. They don’t seem to have much drag the drums spin smoothly on their bearings with no noticeable wobble or runout the frame doesn’t rattle or creak and the wheelbase adjustment handled my frame without troubles. Assembly was a breeze and the instructions were well made.

Given I have only had them a very brief time I can not say to the long term quality but so far they are transparent. By that I mean they do what rollers are supposed to do…roll smoothly and efficiently.

As a former Cat 1/2 racer I can lend some helpful tips to get started. Tip 1 Starting in a couple gears higher than you think is better than lower. The faster you spin the drums the better the gyroscopic effect kicks in and this helps you to get on the rollers. Tip 2 be loose on the bike. Your inclination is to over correct by being stiff and this makes it MUCH harder to get going through the first few seconds of getting the rpms up. Ride loose and relaxed with a light grip on the bars and breathe. Tip 3 if you feel like you are gonna ride off don’t go crazy. If you ride off the wheels come to a halt really quickly but because you and the bike are stationary with out momentum you wont go flying off into the room or wall. You will simply fall over. Tip 4 to make things harder hit harder gears and ride faster. Yes there is a limit to how much your resistance training is on rollers without a mag or fan unit but roller training is not a focus for that aspect of riding a smart trainer or even the weight room is better there. Rollers are for balance and technique and over all efficiency of riding smoothly and gracefully. If you watch pro’s race and compare the footage to racers in recreational events you will see dramatic differences in how smoothly a pro rides they glide with almost effortless energy. Rollers help to train for those abilities. I can sweat just as much on rollers as I can on a smart trainer racing on Zwift. You gotta know how to use the trainer! Tip 5 if you need more workout options try one legged riding. Focus on smooth pedaling with one leg you can literally take each foot off the pedal or just go limp on the dead leg and focus on riding with the other. It’s harder than it looks and few ever try to ride this way for more than 30 second intervals. I did 5 minutes on each leg for warm ups before hard rides and its a fantastic workout. Tip 6 if you want to get really good try sprints. If you are riding rigidly and horse the bike a lot you wont be able to even really get a good kick let alone a sprint. Learn to ride smooth and lean the bike not turn the bars when laying on the power. Last tip take your time and learn as you get more comfortable. You won’t enjoy roller training if you get overly frustrated because you think you are a great rider and rollers should be easy. They are but you don’t just ride rollers just like that. Ride them regularly even if its 20 minutes a ride twice a week and over the coarse of the winter your first spring ride will reward you with the efforts of your training with a smooth and efficient ride.

In summary rollers are a great training tool and if you are shopping for a set this is an excellent budget trainer!;

Amazing piece of engineering - setup was easy and it runs super quiet and smooth. Completely exceeded my expectations and very addictive for exercising during the wet winter months;

This is a pretty high quality roller bike trainer! I was surprised how sturdy this was for the price. The instructions are not the best but if you read through before starting it’s not bad at all.

I ultimately returned this but not due to any problem or failure of the product. Rather my preference to multitask while exercising. I was using a single speed/fixed gear bike on this for training indoors during bad weather days.

This trainer provides no support to the rider. You must pay attention to the act of balancing and maintaining speed and precise direction in order to stay upright on this trainer. Very much like riding a bicycle on pavement and not like riding a stationary bike. If you’re looking to watch tv while riding indoors you’re probably going to fall off of this trainer (haha).

I personally prefer the stand-trainer that I replaced this with. Where the bike is clamped upright and I can just pedal and not focus entirely on the bike.;
