We ride mountain bikes - and sometimes you need a quick hit. We've tried gels - no thanks. These Clif Bloks do the trick - they fit easily in hip belt pockets of our hydros so they are at hand when needed. Taste is very good. When you're torching calories on big climbs these can put a little fuel back in the tank. NB - I think they are expensive at MSRP if you can find a way to get them on sale or via subscription etc. you can save a bit of money.;

I use these for long bike rides. A great snack for each hour you ride. Easily fits in pocket.;

Took these on a 50 mile bike ride and they definitely carried me over the last few hilly head wind miles. The only downside is the packaging doesn't open cleanly and I dropped a few during the ride.;
