Ride great on my local North Carolina trails . Added a remote lockout great for some of our steep climbs. Also very light .

Back when MTB's were simpler with the 1-1/8" steerer and the good 'ol Judy with the yellow design was on my bike the technology and design has improved immensely! It was good to see this fork back and while I could've shaved off say 1/4 lb by going with Fox or a serious lightweight fork this fits the bill for both performance and being able to lock the front.

So because my background in bike trials riding prefers a stiffer fork and I can adjust the pressure with a shock pump (which is a must I think) I'm planning to keep this fork relatively on the stiff side. The lever to lock out the fork is very easy to reach while riding as well.

I'm running the manufacturer's suggested "up to" 203mm rotor and have been working really well with my Magura MT7 brakes. The fork is stiffer and responsive compared to the one from over 20 years ago. The rebound is really nice when needed and while at my 230 lb frame it's little on the soft side but have a feeling the default air pressure is not for my weight. So I bought a shock pump and will be adjusting it later on.

The weight isn't bad at all. Even with my 7-speed setup my whole bike weighs just under 26 lbs or so. Combined with not pictured Kinekt suspension seat post I installed recently the bike feels very comfortable and forget I'm on a hardtail bike! 😃;
