Building on Thudbuster proven parallel linkage technology Cane Creek has completely re-designed the seatpost for increased durability, a higher rider weight limit, and additional suspension travel, as well as ease of use through tool-free elastomer change and a single-bolt seat clamp design. Designed specifically with the rigors of e-bikes and daily commuting in mind, the new Thudbuster ST includes 50mm of travel to significantly diminish shocks and impacts from broken pavement, cobblestones or any other mixed surfaces

  • Threaded, serviceable, hard anodized aluminum axles flanged PTFE bushings
  • Medium firm elastomer pre-installed from the factory. Soft and Firm elastomers included. Extra Soft and Extra Firm elastomers sold separately

The Cane Creek Thudbuster ST Seatpost is a high-quality suspension seatpost that's easy to install including the three urethane inserts that come with it. As this was for my wife who weighs 130 pounds I installed the soft insert that is supposed to be for 100-150 pound riders. I tested it and it didn't give much and I weigh 220 pounds. I ordered the extra soft insert and installed that and it still feels pretty firm. I think that this is pretty expensive for a suspension seatpost that doesn't feel very suspended. I can't complain about its excellent quality though.

This post isnÔøΩt life changing. It takes hard bumps and makes them smaller. Post well made and easy to use. Some what pricey for end results.

I was happy to have some more cushioning from the bumps in the road. The ride feels a bit stiffer but the bumps not as noticeable. My husband installed it quite easily then attach seat and adjust it to fit.
