I purchased the Park Tool SW-9 on an impulse. I soon realized that when there’s limited access to spoke nipples such as small high spoke count wheels or while using an anti-rotation spoke holder this thing works great. The SW-9 combines two common spoke nipple sizes .127”/3.23mm (Park Tool Black SW-0) and .136”/3.45mm (Park Tool Red SW-2). Your standard spoke wrench has only one size which offsets the high cost of the SW-9. I happened to be truing a bicycle wheel and found it works really well on a standard spoke count wheel. It fits well in the hand and works well for me. If you need to spin the nipple a half turn this is not the tool for you. One third rotation is what I normally use and thats the most this tool gives you.

If you like to true wheels and anticipate working on a wide variety wheels this tool will come in handy. iIf you don't then the standard spoke wrench will be sufficient. I recommend the SW-9.;

This is a great wrench but take care not to round off the nipples. My advice: use this wrench for its intended purposeÔøΩfor when somethingÔøΩs preventing you from using the four-sided nipple wrench.
