These are 5 star tires within context because there really is no competition. They don’t wear well 1000-1200 miles tops. They have average puncture protection. But you can get knobby tires for your road bike that won’t accept 28mm’s. They actually make these in 23mm! I put these on every winter in NYC at the first snow fall. You will not find a better tire when there is snow and grit on the streets...seriously there is no other option. Conti GP4 Seasons you will bust your a**. There is nothing even close. I actually prefer the 23mm and put 80/90psi F&R because the snow doesn’t build up on the fork and between the chain stays. The 23mm’s also cut through the snow better so you don’t “snow plane” as easy. If the snow gets deeper than 2”-3” you are screwd...then it’s time to buy a fat bike.;

Bought these tire for my road bike after getting road rash from my road tires that have little to no tread. They grip the road well but I won't be pushing my luck anytime soon. Lol. These tires seem to have a rubber feel to them and not very much difference in the rolling resistance. After taking that spill a little difference doesn't really matter.;
