If you're buying the 27.5 x 1.75" they only come in slick centers despite many advertising the checkered center be sure and have the seller verify that. Well after 100 mi on a trainer then over 420 mi on everything from rough asphalt with potholes course gravel tracks grass and concrete including 22 deg weather and rain days I've only had one flat due to a fine white rock and the tires have much life left. I have read reports of around a 1300 mi life span. These tires are superb in all conditions and handle excellent in hard corners and @ 43mph. I now have a second set but in the "Gravel King" version which are much thicker have puncture guard and are only a little heavier. Definitely going to keep buying these.;
