I purchased this rear axle for my mountain bike in late February. Lightweight fit perfect. It is now mid April and it broke at the right cone :( I'll admit recently I've been taking my bike through more rugged trails. I don't do anything crazy with my bike though. No wheelies bunny hops or Napoleon Dynamite-esque ramp jumps. For the price I can just order another one and replace it easily. If you can afford to buy two in case something like this should happen to you. The durability of this axle must not be so great if it broke in 2 1/2 months. Keep a spare handy. I'll probably try a different kind this time around though. Take it easy on your bike people.;
