Overpriced and Overweight

Been looking for a lighter alternative to my DT XM 481. With a name like KOM Light i30 one would think that it was a nice set of rims. With a claimed weight of 485g they would be a big difference in the 550g rims I currently have. That wasn’t the case. Both rims had actual weights of 510 and 515g. That is not manufacturing variances. That is downright fraudulent claimed weight.

For a rim that retails for $125, I was really disappointed to find that the seam is pinned and not welded. Based on my experiences, this is a point of failure when it comes to tubeless. WTB doesn’t mention anywhere on the website how the seam is constructed. Had I known this, probably would have looked elsewhere.

Am I gonna regret ditching my DT rims for these?

Only upside with this purchase is with the coupon codes and discounts, I didn’t pay anywhere near retail for these.
