FYI - prospective buyers should beware that my intended use of this tool was to aid in torquing the lock ring on a Fulcrum AFS disc center lock wheel set. The front wheel works well (12x100mm) however the rear wheel axel length prevents the tool from fully engaging with the lock ring as it hits the top of the axel on the inside of the tool. My friend had a Campagnolo tool that fit perfectly with the proper clearance. For this specific purpose I would warn against using this tool. The tool is very well made and pretty blue.

As the headline says this is the tool you need to tighten a Shimano Centerlock lockring if it has external splines. (Use Park Tool FR-5.2H if your lockring has inward facing splines.) Fits perfectly but my only criticism is that it should be made of tool steel. It does have a square 3/8 inch notch for attaching a torque wrench (which I recommend) and most Centerlock lockrings should be tightened to about 45 N m.

Five stars so far.;

I needed a tool to tighten a new bottom bracket on my bike. This tool worked perfectly for that. It fits a 1/2 torque wrench and bottom brackets that are 44mm. The tool feels really nice.

I read a few reviews of the cheaper tools and how they slip off. I went with Park assuming I would do better spending the extra money. It's really just a bad design on the part of the lock rings that hold disc brakes on. I had to really hold it down to be able to hit the 40nm needed. It just naturally wants to slip off. Maybe it's better when being used for bottom brackets.
Probably save your money.;
