Black teflon coated Clarks straddle cable are lighter gauge and more responsive than the fatso cables. Heavier straddle cables retain curvature makes action spongy. I noticed the difference with these cables right away.;

These were almost twice as long as I needed for my early 90s MTB. They are coated and terminated at one end which is the style I needed (my older style Shimano brakes clamp the wire for adjustment at the other end.) The wire gauge matches my original shimano and I can't feel any stretch.;

These are the longer of the straddle cables better suited for a mountain bike which is great because that's what I'm working on. The ends of the cable are not sealed or crimped. There are no ends provided which is not really an issue for me because I use heat shrink tubing to terminate my cables.;
