Tried another brand and went back to these on Specialized Crosstrail hybrid bike. Fast good grip and excellent support without high inflation pressure. Mostly ride pavement very happy with these. If you want speed for pavement only Conti Top Contact is excellent. Avoid Conti Speed Ride they were very slow for me and still soft at 85 psi. Just get these CST tires and be happy. Good for pavement or off road great handling and response braking. Excellent tire for 700c bike.;

I'm using this as a front tire on my singlespeed cyclocross bike. My rear tire is a CST Cultivator. I ride pavement in town dirt/gravel roads and singletrack as well. It's got great traction on all sorts of surfaces. I haven't used it in sticky mud but otherwise I'm happy with how it works in a variety of conditions. With the right PSI range (35-45psi for me at 155 lbs) the tire is both cushy/grippy and gives good feedback. Many miles on this tire and not a single puncture or pinch flat. I'll buy another when this one gives up.

CST tires are a great bargain. The Cheng Shin Tire company is best known for its premium Maxxis brand tires but the CST ones are surprisingly good.;
