If you're looking for extra brake clearance on a vintage mountain frame this is your answer. Provides much better tire clearance than the common Shimano BR-MT61 style u-brakes that were common in the late 80's.

I'm running 2.1's that would buzz the load of a turn. Moving to this brake corrected the issue AND they are MUCH easier to adjust/center.;

Exactly what I wanted and needed. In reality I picked this particular item due to the subtle green anodized cap and green pads. (it is the small splash of color on a black bike) Turns out the brake cable cap was also green - nice touch. As far as brakes go they are never easy to install regardless. Having said that these were very straight forward. Very pleased.;
