While it may seem more natural that a round valve seals the hole better the DT Swiss valve does a great job and the square rubber prevents the valve from rotating and becoming permeable.;

These worked great as replacements for the Mavic valve stems on my Mavic Open Pro UST Disk tubeless rims. I couldn't locate the newer Mavic rounded top UST tubeless valves here in the US.;

These valves do not have a rubber grommet/seal and will leak unless they are used in anything other than a DT Swiss rim with an appropriate slot. Otherwise the quality is good and the valves are replaceable.;

These worked great in a tubeless setup with DTSwiss R460s. I tried some Schwalbe valves first and couldn’t get them to seal because of the crazy deep and narrow channel in the rims. Highly recommended for DTSwiss road rims!;
