Bought this cause I am replacing an old stand that was worn out. Figured that a lower model of a good brand would be better than a cheap one.
The good news is that it seems to be sturdy and should last a long time. The bad news is that that means that for a long time it will be a wobbly frustrating stand that leans forward so much that when it’s clamped to the seat post the bike has a sideways lean and will not stay clamped level much less at any other angle.
Thought it might have some oil lubing it so gave it a good cleaning. Didn’t help. I’m seriously afraid that I will break the plastic knob if I tighten it to much.
Put a piece of inner tube for grip as in the pics and now it stays put all I want is level.
Doesn’t help the rocking or the lean even with a 20 pound bike it’s not that steady.
All in all I’m not impressed. The clamp is fine don’t need a quick release. The non adjustable hight is fine it’s a good hight.
Even the wobble is tolerable sort of. It’s the forward lean and angle adjustment that are gonna lead to some frustrating times.;

I have had one of these for over 10 years now. I have build mountain bikes and BMX bikes on the stand. The finish is great it is very sturdy and the clamp holds any bike extremely well. Great value for the money!;

It's a good stand solid no frills. My commuter bike is over 30 pounds and this supports it no problem. I have done a lot of work with it since I got it and I am really happy to have a proper work stand rather than trying to balance the bike on the floor while doing repairs. It is basically impossible to adjust your derailleurs without having the rear wheel of the bike elevated and both hands free; one to turn the pedals and one to shift.

I am happy that I chose this stand because it is solidly built sturdy and folds up quickly and intuitively into just a thin beam that can be stowed easily in a closet. The plastic knob on the back of the stand adjusts the angle of the clamp and is strong and easy to tension down even with my weak-ish hands. I do wish that it had some way to adjust the height of the clamp as sometimes I want to get the part I am working on closer to eye level but the trade-off for that seems to be either a much higher price or much lesser structural integrity in the main post. So I am happy with it as is.

If you have bikes and want to start doing your own work on them this stand will pay for itself in only a few sessions. I think it's one of the better ones available for the low price and from an established company with customer support available. Until I get that dream garage and a real shop-quality stand I'm happy to keep using this.;
