The shoe is built just about perfectly for the riding flats. Just stiff enough to not feel the pedal poking through but not too stiff for walking. Grippy soles that hold tight without getting stuck on the pins. I just wish they had a wider toe box. This style of shoe is usually fairly roomy in the toebox but these run narrow...made worse by the stiff nature of the shoe. I'm a 12ish size but often size up to 13 to get more toebox room. With these I had to size up the 14 leaving a ton of room in front of my toes but barely enough width to keep my pinky toe from getting squished. If you don't have wide feet or need a big toe box I can't imagine a better shoe for biking on flats.
