Built a bike up 2-3 years ago for gravel and it took 3 times of pulling the crank and relubing/servicing the BB it finally stayed quite. The first install and a gravel century ride later it was creakier than I've ever heard a BB. The 2nd time was Dirty Kanza. To be expected I guess with a couple water crossings 200 miles of gravel and 10000 feet of climbing. Adjusted it after than and thought about throwing it away but it has been dead silent after that. 2 years now without a single creak. Once you get it quite don't mess with it.;
