I had to replace the Bontrager RXL full-carbon bar on my Trek Fuel EX 9.8. The RXL was stiff but unobtrusively so. It damped impacts and buzz from rocks very well while communicating everything I needed to know about what I was rolling over. Subjectively it was like the bar wasn't there as the communication was telepathic. I was intrigued by the composite alloy/carbon construction of the SL-K and put this bar on. It is very light stiff and communicative. Unfortunately I am aware of the bar at all times as transmits a lot of large and small impacts to my hands. I anticipate that this will be fatiguing when I do longer rides again. The SL-K may be a nice step up from alloy bars but it is not on par with the full-carbon RXL.
