Update: 3/9/22 - one issue. The plunger mechanism sticks. I wondered why the weight adjustment didn’t seem to do much, and it is because the plunger binds. I took the post apart, removed the adjustment screw, spacer and rubber, and found absolutely no lubricant inside. Taking a chance, I squirted in a bunch of silicon grease inside, greased the rubber spring, put it back together, and the binding is nearly gone. More of an occasional hesitation. I suspect that as the grease works it’s way up into the plunger mechanism, even this will go away. Other than that, it works great. (If you do this, note the rubber spring has an up and down, and two flat sides that orient it in the tube)

As others have said, this seatpost is reasonably well built, does the job of smoothing out the ride. It is 1/2 lb lighter than the equivalent zoom seatpost with a mechanical spring. I weigh 190 lbs and do road and gravel riding, and this seatpost works well for me.;

I recommend this post above other spring style posts. This posts has an elastomer cushion that rebounds softer than the spring style posts. I use them on my fat bikes as they provide just enough cushion to take edge off the rigid frame ride.;

Other reviewers we're right about it being very well made. Looks & feels high quality. I'm 265 lbs & it works perfect for me. I had to decrease the rebound to almost minimum to feel it. If you're much lighter this may not work for you but there are plenty of other ones for a similar price for lighter riders.;

This seatpost has the hard elastomer. I weigh 160 lbs and could barely get it to move on the softest setting. I ended up returning it. The card attached to the seatpost says the says the soft elastomer is intended for riders under 120 kg (that’s almost 265 lbs). Seems to me the soft elastomer would be appropriate for most riders. As others have noted, the build quality is decent.;
