OEM replacement tire on my Pivot 429SL XC mtn bike. This is a good problem free tire but with a shorter life span given it’s design for XC Mtn bikes. I like to get 450hrs/3yrs out of my bike tires but these tires typically only last for 300hrs +/-10%/2yrs riding on Mtn bike trails in Colorado and Arizona. Center tire top lugs typically wear out first causing back tire instability while cornering on loose sand over a hard pack trail base. While these are Excellent tires on loose sand over hard pack during their normal 300hr life span; these tires provide Extremely Poor traction on muddy trails even when new. As a result I only ride them on dry or at worst damp trails; waiting to ride at least 24hrs after a hard rain.;
