When installing the new index you will need a small snap ring tool to the get the job done. I used Irwin Vise-Grip Snap pliers that includes a very small tip adapter. I'm going from 8 to 10 speed. This might not be specific to Microshift but my first impression and this is using a proper 10 speed chain derailleur and cassette is that bar-end shifters feel less precise than 8 or 9 speed indexed shifting. The intervals between clicks feel too small. It is easy to move 2-3 rather than just 1.;
