Nantucket Surfside Rear Wire D Pannier Basket - Blue

My basket arrived yesterday and I took it out for a spin this morning. I have to deliver my daughter's violin to school--and pick it up again--four days a week. It's a full size violin and too long to fit in her basket (or any regular basket) especially with her backpack. I wanted to stop driving the two miles to school twice a day. I didn't have high hopes because we've tried a lot of other solutions and the violin has to be held very securely. But I needed baskets anyway for my new e-bike so it was worth a try. OMG. What's really great about this basket is that it's deep and the long handles hold the basket really securely to the rack. The rack that came on my bike also has metal guards that come down and protect the rear wheel parts so it's perfect for a panier style cargo solution. I was worried about it feeling lopsided with weight on only one side but I didn't notice that at all. The violin fits like the rack was made for it. Although about 60% of the length sticks out the top it is held so securely by the length and the narrow 9" width that there is no chance of it falling out or even jostling around within the basket. The basket is super cute and pops right off to carry into a store. It even fits on my front handlebars so I think I might get a couple more and one for my daughter so she can maybe carry her own violin. My only quibble is that I ordered it in purple and the basket that came is definitely not purple. It's a light lavender. So not as dignified as I was hoping. But still very useful.;

I ordered 2 of these baskets to go on a Huffy beach cruiser someone gave me ( so lucky - right?). Now I can fulfill my dream of biking to the market to do my shopping. I looked at a lot of basket options before deciding on these and what I love best is the ability to hang them on my back rack and then quickly pick them up by the handle put them in my shopping cart load them at the register and put them easily back on the bike. I put a cloth bag in each so small items don't fall out. I can recommend them highly - they are so cute and so useful - and they come in a few different colors! Really pleased with them.;

These baskets are the greatest. I bought two white to match my bike and use them going grocery shopping. They do hold a lot and with a net is perfect. I get a lot of compliments on them because they look so good on the bike. When I go to the market I can lift them off easy by the handle and put in the grocery basket.;

I really like this basket. It is sturdy adorable and fun color...perfect for a quick bike ride to the market. I appreciate that I can remove the basket and store it on a shelf or hang it from a hook when it is not in use.;
