I have two Trek Madone's with BB90 bottom brackets. I've probably replaced bearings 20 times (I've had one bike for 12 years the 2nd for 7). So at least once per year one each bike probably more. All sorts of noise (clicks and creaks) and it's just a royal PITA to change them out.

In desperation I decided to try the Origin9 thread together setup. I believe that these are made by Token Products and resold by Origin9. The parts are markings from both companies.

Install is pretty slick. You absolutely need the special tool. I had to use a bit more torque than specified since one side wouldn't seat. But it only took a little more torque and the whole process of pulling the two ends together was very smooth. If you know how to remove the old bearings putting these in will be the easy part.

I did the first test ride today. 40 miles on the road ~18 MPH average. No problems. The bottom bracket is very free turning and there's no way anything is going to move around.

So I just ordered two more. One for the other Madone and one for a spare. They say the bearings are serviceable (probably by pulling off the exposed side dust caps and cleaning/greasing in place) but I haven't seen anything about "replaceable" or "removable." Even if I need to replace these when the bearings go they will be much better than the bearing problems that have plagued me for years.

Update on 3/23/2022- I now have 5 months on one bike with this BB (~2K miles) and it's still like butter. Went thru a pretty big rain ride a couple weeks back too. So I think the seals are better than the original BB90 as well as better/smoother.

I just swapped in one of these for my other bike.;
