I bought these for a bike trip to bentonville where I would be hitting some features but also doing a lot of peddling. These fit the bill perfectly. Sizing does not run small like some other brands. Probably spot on. I initially got an XL set but they were too big. I'm 6'1 / 205 not tooth pick arms but not pythons either.
Note I'd still have something more substantial if planning a DH only bike trip;

Mtn biking in the rocky AZ desert is precarious— this was suppose to protect me when I go down off of trails from ripping my elbows open; but I find myself stopping every 15 minutes to re adjust them and try to re-tighten.;

They aren't bad. Light. Comfy. Make sure you get the right size... not sure how aggressive of riding they are. The strap doesn't work to tighten extra securely. It is not elastic and the sleeve is. So if it's too rightist just doesn't hold the sleeve.;
