I ordered a 29" X 2.6" Big Betty soft compound and set it up tubeless. I used a Muc-Off tubeless kit and getting this tyre to blow up was easy with a regular pump. This tyre is paired with a Magic Mary on the front and this feels like the perfect companion tyre to follow that grip up front. As a rear focussed tyre it's grippy yet predictable and gives plenty of traction to power you up the steepest inclines. Going downhill you get plenty of feedback to feel where the rear is at and it drifts well where the tread pattern maintains linear predictable grip right up to the edge. Give the rear brake a little pump and it's like throwing down an anchor. Perfect to gain a little control and get snap the rear back into line when needed. It's a good all rounder and even handles loose gravel fairly well. It seems to clear mud pretty well too. It's a big tyre so there is a little bit more drag bit it's not excessive. Probably not the choice for an XC rider or someone doing a lot of road riding... But you wouldn't be looking at this tyre for those disciplines anyway.;
