Very grippy indeed. They do sound like you’re running over Rice Crispies but it’s no louder than riding down a gravel path and definitely worth it for the extra piece of mind when riding in icy conditions where I’ve noticed a definite and reassuring increase in grip. There’s a recommended running-in period of 40km and over that time they definitely got quieter.

I usually use 2.35in tires and these definitely feel narrower with a more curved profile. That’s not a good or bad thing just something to bear in mind if you’re used to more ‘floaty’ balloon tires. So far they seem very robust solid well made and grippy. Oh and the reflective band around them adds a little extra piece of mind when riding in traffic.;
