Shimano BB-ES51 Octalink V2 68x118mm Spline Spindle BSA (English) Bottom Bracket

SHIMANO BB-ES51 Octalink V2 Bottom Bracket this gave me a perfect chain line on my Surly Disc Trucker with a 483626 crank set.I had to go with this setup to get it right.I'm very happy with this new crank set.;

I've got a 1996 Specialized Rockhopper stripped the left crank arm by stupidly trying to remove the pedal by rotating for Right Hand threads. NOTE on Threads: left crank has Left Hand threads drive/right side of bottom bracket has Left Hand threads. Tried to upgrade my old tired square taper bottom bracket to a Hollow Tech II but couldn't find a suitable crankset for gearing ratio or bottom bracket width. My bike has a 73mm wide shell had trouble finding HT II bottom bracket and crankset to match so I went with available Octalink instead which is working great. Apparently Octalink is older and has fallen out of favor current preference in biking community is Hollow Tech II.;

Fit my specialized rockhopper perfectly. Not too crazy about the plastic threaded mounting base that came with it on the left side but was able to reuse the original mount;
