I am a bit of a novice when it comes to converting a bike gear system. I went from 2x9 to 1x10. Everything installed perfectly and with a bit of learning and Youtube everything works perfectly. The large idlers are very nice. Shifting is very crisp. It is fun to ride with this upgrade.
