Non proprio uguale all'originale ma fa il suo lavoro;

I bought this as a replacement after my local bike shop (now closed) managed to strip the threads when trying to install it. No wonder I had so many problems with it initially. Once you understand how this works it's fairly straightforward to set it up - torque your crank arm bolt to the required setting and then rotate the adjuster until the thread makes contact with the bearings to 'preload' them and there's no play in the crank arms. There's very little information out there on how to set up this adjuster in particular because it only seems to be used for specific models of SRAM chainsets - namely the Red and the Force 22 - and the instructions that come with the cranks are confusing and vague to say the least. Some people have the adapter set up so the adapter itself contacts the bearings but I understand this can cause them to bind - you can see from my photo that the threaded ring that comes out when you rotate the adapter is what is in contact with the bearings.

Over the years I've used loads of different chainsets by all the major manufacturers and the SRAM one seems to be the most complex. With Shimano Hollowtech you literally put the spindle through the BB tighten the preload bolt and then the crank arm bolts and you're ready to go. I don't really see the advantage of the SRAM system if I'm honest but once you've got it set up you generally don't have to touch it again and I haven't had any issues in the years that followed.

All in all it seems to be well made does the job it's supposed to do and lasts well. Just don't over-tighten the little allen bolt - it just needs to put tension on the adapter - don't tighten it so much that you round off the head.;

Il prodotto funziona bene anche se varia un po'nelle misure rispetto all'originale infatti non è marchiatovda nessuna parte nemmeno sulla confezione quindi dubito che sia sram....;

Like OEM Sram Preload Adjuster. No complaints here. Easy install as well. Paired it with some spacers from Amazon as well.;
